Mon 28 Jul 2025 14:30 - 15:00 at CR16 - Session 2

As we look beyond Mars toward the outer Solar System, the traditional model of incremental mission development becomes infeasible. This session will explore emerging concepts for adaptive, autonomous robotic systems capable of operating in unknown and extreme environments with minimal prior knowledge or ground intervention. Discussions will center on architectural principles, enabling technologies, and cross-disciplinary insights—from robotics and AI to planetary science and evolutionary biology—that could support one-shot missions to unvisited worlds.
